CRAIBE, Stanley – It is with deep sadness as our family announces that Stanley Paul Craibe passed away peacefully, with his family by his side, in the early morning of Tuesday, February 7, 2023 at the age of 80 years. Born in Nova Scotia, Stan's family eventually moved to St. Andrew’s West where he and his siblings grew up. He is the beloved husband of Marcelle (née Caron) for 52 years. Loving father of Tammy Craibe and Kevin Craibe (wife Jane Hennessy-Craibe) both of Cornwall. Cherished Poppy of his grandchildren, Brit Billings (husband Eric) of Ottawa, Colton Craibe, Cameron Craibe and great grandchild, Kye Billings. Chosen Poppy of Sarah VanLoon and Tonya VanLoon. Dear brother of Keith Craibe and Gail Lalonde (husband Archie) both of Cornwall. Loving Godfather of Kim Craibe and Rick Bissonnette. Predeceased by his parents, Donald Craibe and Marguerite (née Barker), his brothers Kenneth, Karl (Aletha Collins), Randy, Gary and infant sister Gloria. Best friend of Clancy Chisholm (Dianne Escude) of Vancouver and the late Larry Smith. Stanley will also be missed by the family puppy, Belle and cat, Charlie.
Stanley was a kind, patient and gentle soul with a heart of gold and witty sense of humour. He was a hard worker, people person and dedicated family man whose ultimate enjoyment was being around his family and friends. Stan’s smile would light up any room even until the end. Stan was one of a kind who never had a bad word to say about anyone. Stan had a passion for classic cars, country music, being outdoors and enjoyed watching boxing.
