MICHAUD, Ronald G. - Ron was a kindhearted, honest Christian man, he was a devoted husband and loving father who loved and adored his wife and children dearly. Ron always held his family and friends close to his heart. Ron was a very dedicated man whether it be to his family, his job or to the Toronto Maple Leafs, anyone who knew Ron knew his love for the Toronto Maple Leafs as he was a lifelong fan. Hockey has always been a big part of Ron's life as he started playing from an early age up until his adulthood and played on his company team for many years. Ron also had a passion for the outdoors it was his happy place. He was his happiest when he was surrounded by his family and friends while camping, fishing or going on the boat, when Ron was on or in the water he was in his element. Ron worked at IPG for 42 years and was very fond of his job and of the many friendships he made throughout the years. Ron fought and defeated Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma Cancer with prayers dignity and grace, he was a fighter and he fought his hardest right up until the very end to unfortunately succumb to a Covid 19/pneumonia. Ron went to be with the Lord surrounded by his family at the Ottawa General Hospital on Tuesday, March 8, 2022. Ronald Michaud of Cornwall at the age of 62 years. Beloved husband of Jeannette (née Deschamps) Michaud. Loving father of Tina Michaud of Ottawa, Jennifer Michaud-Dumond (Michael) and Craig Massia both of Cornwall. Dear brother of Maurice Michaud of Cornwall. Proud uncle of Shawn, Lisa and Eric Michaud. Dear son of the late Marcel Michaud and the late Helen (née Gagne) Michaud. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to LAHAIE AND SULLIVAN, CORNWALL FUNERAL HOMES WEST BRANCH, 20 Seventh St West (613-932-8482). A Memorial Service will be held at a later date. As expressions of sympathy memorial donations to Hodgkins Lymphoma charities would be appreciated by the family. Lastly the family would like to send out a special heartfelt thank you to the Cornwall Community Hospital & Ottawa General ICU nurses and doctors for their care and compassion shown to Ron and his family.
