Devoted and cherished husband of Susanne (née Bouvier) Bowen of 53 years.
Left to mourn are his two sons Peter (Kacey) and Paul Bowen, all of Cornwall.
Proud grandfather of Jayden and Gabrielle and great-grandson Knox.
Rod will be missed by his dear sister of Suzanne Brown (late Harry) and by his in-laws Andy Bouvier
(Noëlla), Lorraine Germain (Marc) and Pauline Davis (Sheldon), along with his nieces, nephews and extended family.
Rod met his wife, Susanne, during his time working for Bell Canada, where he proudly served for over 27 years. Their love story, which began at Bell, blossomed into a lifelong partnership built on mutual respect, and deep affection.
Rod was an avid car enthusiast. His love for cars went beyond mere appreciation. In his younger years he was an active participant in the world of racing. His enthusiasm for the open road was matched by his love for road trips. Rod also enjoyed hockey, both as a spectator and a participant. Rod was also a hockey coach when his boys were young.
Rod’s most enduring legacy, however, was his role as a devoted husband, father, son, grandfather and son-in-law. His kindness and generosity knew no bounds. He was always ready to lend a helping hand, offer advice, and provide encouragement to those he loved.
Rod’s kind heart, and guidance will be deeply missed. He leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness and devotion that will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know him.
Predeceased by his parents, Ray and Norma (née Hendry) Bowen and by his sister Shirley
Lefebvre (late Floyd) and by his in-laws Albini and Jeannette (née Martin) Bouvier.
