Geraldine, so sorry to hear of Bob's passing. I haven't seen him in years, but remember him as a very kind, comical man who loved to laugh. May he rest in peace and may you be comforted by his memories. Love and best wishes

One never knows the impact another person will have on their life and as I reflect on my childhood I have many wonderful memories of Bob. The first day I got my driver's permit I backed out of my driveway up onto Bob's lawn...oops, he only shook his head and laughed at me. Now that the Christmas season is upon us I can't help but remember all the times Bob won the best decorated house in Gander, you could literally see his house from space, actually I think the pilots used it to guide the planes to the Gander Airport. As children we knew Christmas was near when Bob put that beautiful sleigh and eight tiny reindeer up on the roof. Although he decorated his house "to the nines" he was never boastful instead he was kind and generous. My brother and I were reminiscing about our memories of Bob and he said he was always one to come across the street to see if dad needed a hand putting up his Christmas light and often even asked if we needed anymore. I will always remember Bib's kind smile and wave of his hand every time I saw him. He was an incredibly thoughtful family man who knew the importance of being kind to others especially those less fortunate. It is with a heavy heart that I send my most sincere condolences to Geraldine, Alex (my buddy growing up), Jackie, Laci and your families. Bob will be forever remembered fondly in our family.

I was very sad to hear of Bob's passing. I remember him fondly from growing up on Heath Crescent.  He was cheerful, had a skip in his step and was always friendly to us kids who were hanging around! He was a proud Dad who eventually became an even prouder Poppy. I hope you all can find some comfort in your many memories of him. Take care.
