MERKLEY, Marie (Anderson) - With great sadness, surrounded by her loving family, at the Cornwall Community Hospital (McConnell Site) on Wednesday October 14, 2015. She was 86. Beloved wife of the late Audeen (Dean)Merkley. Dear mother of Gail Sliter (Ken), Linda Leroux (Ron), Eddy Merkley (Bernadette), David Merkley (Karen), Helen Emmens (late Andrew), Ron Merkley, Gerry Merkley (Barb) and Tim Merkley (Lisa). Sadly missed by 22 grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren. Loving sister of Dorothy O’Brien (late Earl), Elizabeth Anderson. Special friend of the late Douglas Thompson. Predeceased by her parents, Robert and Laura (Lupien) Anderson, sisters, Pauline Paquette, Marguerite Filion, June Anderson, Isabelle Anderson and step-brothers, Albert Lemoyre, Wilfred (Yank) Lemoyre and Rudolphe Lemoyre.. Friends will be received at the M. John Sullivan Funeral Home, 341 Pitt Street (across from city hall) Cornwall on Monday from 2 – 4pm and 7 – 9pm and on Tuesday from 9:30-10:15am. Funeral Service Tuesday October 20, 2015 at Knox St. Paul’s United Church at 11am. Rite of Committal, St. Lawrence Valley Cemetery, to follow. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to the Alzheimers Association would be appreciated by the family.
