Lorraine was a proud Akwesasne community member, born January 11, 1951 in Cornwall, Ontario. She was the eldest child to Alexander and Marita (Hopps) Skidders. She was predeceased by her parents, grandmother Annie Skidders, brothers; Charlie, Lawrence, Alexander and Brian Skidders.
She is survived by her beloved husband Ernest T Gambill, her children Ernie (Alison), Forrester and Venus (Will), her siblings Richard (Iakonnikonriiosta), Matthew and Honey Skidders, her five grandchildren Brett, Annie, Nolan, Kobe, Emma, two great grandchildren Ella and Jaime and cousins, nieces and nephews.
Lorraine was devoted to her community while working the hot lunch program at the Island school, local cafes and bakery and her recent endeavor was Purple Ribbon. She was also the CEO for the Mohawk Council of Akwesasne Elections.
We will forever cherish her devoted love and affection to the time she spent making all our birthdays and holidays extra special. She loved to shop and put smiles on everyone’s face with her huge generous heart. She will be remembered for her love of animals especially her black labs.

Cremation services entrusted to the M. John Sullivan Funeral Home, 341 Pitt Street (across from city hall) Cornwall.
A Celebration of life will be held at a later date at St. Francis Parish in Cornwall, Ontario.
