Kenny was one of my two oldest friends and the sports heart of our Sandy Hill gang. Despite struggling with asthma he was a huge fan and a talented player, whether in Osgoode school yard, or as an adult broomball player in Cornwall. A generous host, Connie and I often took advantage of his hospitality at Princess St. and in later years at his and Peggy's country estate which he dearly loved. Our sympathies are with Marçie and Steph. Some happy camping memories with Kenny and them at Killbear, Manitoulin and Bon Echo! Mike and Connie

Connie and I are so sorry to hear of Kenny’s passing. Our sympathies to Steph and Marcie. Sadly I only realized our loss when I tried to phone him on February 17: too long out of touch, although he did tell us about the cancer diagnosis last year. 
Ken was a charter member of the Sandy Hill gang; we knew each other from the age of six, played endless shinny games in Osgood school yard and caught flies in Strathcona Park. Connie, daughters Pam and Shauna and I went camping and shared countless visits when Ken hosted us in Cornwall.

My cousin, Ken, lived life as a gentle, caring man who was  a fine example to us all.  I especially value  the memory of walking with him on his property among the many trees he had personally planted as he shared each one's history. Most recently, he spoke with great pride and joy of his frequent visits from his daughter, Stephanie and his grandson, Maxsim. My prayers are with you.

Stephanie and family, our sincere condolences on the passing of Ken.  You are in our thoughts and prayers. 
I have known Ken as a friend for over 53 years since he came to teach history at General Vanier Secondary School where I was also teaching history.  Ken was a caring and outstanding teacher who made history come alive.  He made time to help students who needed extra assistance and was a mentor to young teachers who were starting out.
Ken also cared for his community and was a church going man of faith.
He was very proud of his loving daughter Stephanie and his young grandson Maksim.  Stephanie's visits to his home with Maksim was the highlight of the week for Ken.
I will miss our visits, telephone calls and the Friday lunches at local restaurants where we would solve the problems of the world.  May Ken rest in peace.

So sorry to hear the passing of your dad. 
Ken was a kind soul who always had time to chat and watch a  game with me many years ago. 
He cared for my kids and treated them always as family. His tractor rides with hunter cutting the grass, playing baseball are great memories.

Ken was a ‘teacher’s teacher’ who touched the lives of so many students, colleagues and friends over the years.  I remember so many wonderful chats with Ken during those wonderful years in S.D.G.  He truly cared for his family, his students, his school, his friends and his community.  He will be missed.  Rest In Peace.

Deepest sympathy for your loss. Mr. Parker was a kind and supportive teacher who made an impression of how a good man behaved when he taught me in high school.  

I am greatly saddened to hear of the departure of Ken Parker from this life. He was my history teacher at GVSS many years ago and in later years became a friend.

Stephanie, I am very sorry for your loss and for the sadness shared within your family.  Maksim was lucky to have such a loving man for his grampa, if only for a short time.  I will always remember my cousin Ken as a gentle man ... and always the gentleman.
