EADIE, John Robert – peacefully at his residence, with family by his side, on Friday, September 23, 2017. John Eadie, born, raised and educated in Cornwall; age 88. Beloved husband of the late Georgette (Charron). Loving father of Nancy (Kevin Upper) of Carp and Laurie Ann Williams (Leonard) of Cornwall. He was the son of Charles Eadie and Elizabeth Paul. He is survived by one brother Douglas (Greta) of Kingston and predeceased by one sister Grace Roxborough (George) of Peterborough. Loved grandfather of Dylan (Debra), Paul (Jasmine), Krystel (Sohail Zaheer), Kelsey Voy (Cody Robillard) all of Ottawa and Nicholas, Jared and Steven Williams of Cornwall and great grandfather of Lyla, Evyn and Sandy. He was also a long time friend of Ruthanna MacPherson of Long Sault, Ontario. He worked over thirty years at Courtaulds Film formerly known as TCF and BCL of Canada. He later worked as Court Registrar for Ontario Court of Justice (General Division), was former treasurer and President of Cornwall and District Traffic Club. Member of St. John’s Presbyterian Church, Fiddler with “Glengarry Old Tyme Fiddlers”, long time trustee with former “Glen Productions”, member of Masonic Lodge #125, S.D.&G. Shrine Club and Karnak Temple of Montreal. Resting at LAHAIE & SULLIVAN CORNWALL FUNERAL HOMES WEST BRANCH 20 Seventh Street West Cornwall (613-932-8482) from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday at St. John's Presbyterian Church from 9:30 until the time of Funeral. Funeral Saturday, September 30, 2017 in St. John’s Presbyterian Church at 11 a.m. Followed by cremation. Rev. Ian Johnston officiating.
