I always had a soft spot for 'Le P'tit Jerry', even though I only saw him briefly every two-three years over the past four decades since moving to Calgary. To me, he was my Beatle-buddy uncle who introduced me to the band's music when I was around ten. I was seven years his junior and couldn't afford to buy their albums - he could.  I would spend hours each weekend with Mémère and Pépère so I could listen to their music.  It left such an imprint on my youth, and years later I mentioned this to Jerry - only to learn that he didn't recall his little niece's visits at all!  Jerry also introduced me to Gordon Lightfoot, another one of my musical icons. All these years later, whenever I listen to the music of the Beatles or Lightfoot, Jerry pops to mind and calms me.  He also helped instill my love of traveling to foreign places, starting with visiting him in Bermuda during one of my Queen's University summers.  Jerry had such a gentle, caring and sincere presence and you couldn't help but smile when he was around.  I still feel his gentle presence in my life - it just comes from further away now. 

Ancienne collègue de travail et amie de Jerry.  Quel tristesse pour la perte de cet homme si gentil et si tendre.  À sa retraite nous sommes restés des amis.  Ce fût un grand choc d'apprendre son départ.  J'en suis encore bouleversé et je ne l'oublierai jamais.  Au revoir mon ami, repose en paix.  Ton amie Suzanne 

More than an uncle, Jerry was a special friend . So many wonderful and touching memories of times spent with him through the years. He will live in my heart forever.

Jerry has left behind a family who cheriched and admired him very much.  He loved us and always made certain that each one of us felt his love and support. I have so many wonderful memories of my visits to see him in Montreal where he made every visit special.  I miss him every day.
