Allan B Murphy

Allan Brian Murphy, in his 69th year, passed away peacefully after a brief illness with cancer on Sunday February 11, 2013. He will be greatly missed by his loving companion of 37 years, Josephine Jacques. Father of David (Kim), Cindy (Tom Varley), and Donna (Scott Gladstone) and step-father of Doreen (Jacques Kahalé), Judy (Michael Savic), Allen (Jo-Anne) Jacques, Nancy (Steven Saucier), Karen (Eric Irvine), and Lynn (Grant Leslie). He leaves behind his grandchildren Chantelle, Charnelle, Cassandra, Tyler, Ellie, great granddaughter, Sophia, and 14 step-grandchildren and 4 step-great grandchildren. Brother of Catherine (Gary Kavanagh), and Margaret Richards. He will be sadly missed by his family, friends, and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents, Patrick and Dorothy Murphy and siblings Patricia, Donald, Jean, Jim, Shirley, and Michael. He will be sorely missed by his faithful dog, Buddy. Funeral arrangements under the care and direction of Lahaie and Sullivan, Cornwall Funeral Home, West Branch, 20 Seventh St. West (613-932-8482). In keeping with Allan’s wishes, Cremation has taken place. A private service will be held at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Morrisburg. As expressions of sympathy, Memorial Donations may be made to Hospice Cornwall, 1507 Second Street West, where compassionate care was provided by doctors, nurses and volunteers.
