Mr. Williams died on February 13, 2021 at Stonebridge Assisted Living. He was born in Pocahontas, TN on October 13, 1937 to the late Verlon and Catherine Hayes Williams. He served his country as a veteran of the U.S. Army. He retired with the United States Postal Service as a letter carrier. Before moving to Corinth he was a member of Bartlett Hills Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, playing softball well into his 50's and listening to bluegrass music.
Survivors are his wife of 63 years, Sammye Dee Williams; daughter, Dianne Lambert and husband Randy; grandchildren, Anna Carlisle and husband Allen; Abby Smith and husband Slater; and Jesse James and wife Tanna; great-grandchild, Hayes Carlisle; sister, Marilyn Clark and a host of other nieces, nephews, family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Steven Brawner Williams; daughter, Valerie Williams James; brothers, Wilburn and Audrey Williams; and a sister, Carolyn Long.
