Tammy Hartnell

Tammy Hartnell passed away on Sunday, October 6, 2024 at her residence surrounded by her family. A private memorial service will be held with burial at Brigman Hill Cemetery.

Tammy was born on November 17, 1961 in Corinth, MS to Bobby and Nelda Fowler. She attended Alcorn Central High School, graduating in the Class of 1979. A couple years later, she met Lyn through a Sunday school teacher, and they were married in December 1981. She gave birth to Jeremy (84') and Misty (87') and began her role as a loving mother. Throughout the years, she loved cooking and entertaining family for holidays and birthdays. She was known to be the first one to wish you a happy birthday, even if it was shortly after midnight on your special day. Her kindness knew no bounds as she was always there to lend an ear at any time day or night. She was the glue in the family and few things made her happier than seeing all of her family together.

Tammy was preceded in death by her father, Bobby Fowler.

Tammy is survived by her husband of 42 years, Lyn Hartnell; mother, Nelda Fowler; son, Jeremy Hartnell (Felicia); daughter, Misty Whittemore (Wesley); brother, Glenn Fowler; sister, Sonya Lambert (Jamie); grandchildren, Swayzee Hartnell, Talon Hartnell, Maybree Jo Hartnell, Hartley Whittemore, and John Hardy Whittemore; and a host of other family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her honor to Crusades International-Africa Outreach at P.O. Box 580192 Pleasant Prairie, WI 53158, a family missionary organization close to her heart.
