Peggy Vaughn Elam

Celebration of Life service for Peggy Vaughn Elam 69, are set for 1:00 p.m. Thursday at McPeters Inc. Funeral Directors with Bro. Bobby Capps officiating. Burial will be in the Antioch Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.

Peggy died September 17, 2018 at her residence. She was born April 18, 1949 in Alcorn Co. MS. to the late Bo and Opal Rose Ross. She was a Christian, a 1967 graduate of Biggersville High School, she retired as an inspector for World Color. Peggy was an avid gardener, she enjoyed cooking, reading and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Elam; parents; sister, Myra Ross; grandson, Dylan Parker; father of her children, Paul Vaughn.

She is survived by her daughters, Elaina Smith (Erik), Melody Dawn Lawson; brothers, Tim Ross, Al Ross, Ricky Ross, Danny Ross, Sammy Joe Ross; sisters Betty Wardlow, Marilyn Fowler, Glenda Michaels, Teresa Huggins; grandchildren, Blake Smith, Nikita Morelock (Dustin), Hunter Lawson, Tanner Lawson; great grandchildren Mallory and McKenzie Morelock, Lucas Lawson; host of other family and friends.

Pallbearers, Mississippi State Trooper, F18 Aaron Morgan, F31 Casey Mayo. F36 Brian McGee, F41 Cody McGee, F42 Darrell McNair, F50 Darrell Mathis.

Family will receive friends Wednesday from 5:00 to 8:00 and Thursday from 12:00 to service time.
