Mary Bell Prather

A Celebration of Life Service for Mary Bell Prather, 85, will be held 1:00 pm Friday West Corinth Pentecostal Tabernacle with Bro. Ronald Wilbanks, Bro. Merl Dixon and Bro. Tim Dixon officiating. Burial will follow in the Holly Cemetery. A Family and Friends Gathering will be Thursday from 5:00 to 9:00 and Friday from 11:00 am to service time at the church.

Mary died April 9, 2025 at MS Care Center. She was born February 6, 1940 in Alcorn Co. MS to the late Henry and Mary Annie Downs Cummings. She was a long-time member of West Corinth Tabernacle. She was a retired garment factory worker. Mary enjoyed going to yard sales, shopping and spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Martin Leon Prather; grandson, Tyler Thomas; parents; brother, Jerry Cumming and Terry Cummings; and sisters, Eula Stutts and Linda Austin.

She is survived by her son, Tony Prather (Cindy); daughter, Dorothy Thomas (Randy); grandchildren, Wesley Thomas (Natalie), Coty Prather (Jessica) and Kayla Brady (Blake); great grandchildren, Caden and Livia Thomas, Collins, Lyla Jayda and Huntley Prather, Jax and Adley Grace Brady; brothers, Roy Cummings (Diane) and Benny Cummings; sisters, Deloris Bobo, Shirley Smith, Martha Wooten, and Joyce Brock (James); and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Pallbearers will be Randy Bobo, Jeff Bobo, Edin Brock, Dr. Darwin Wooten, Josh Wilbanks, and Ayden Wilbanks.
