Mary Viola McKinney

A Celebration of Life Service for Mary McKinney, 95, will be held on Tuesday March 26, 2024 at 1pm at Memorial Funeral Home with burial to follow at White Sulphur Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11am until service time at the funeral home.

Mary Viola McKinney of Corinth passed away on Saturday, March 23, 2024 at Magnolia Regional Health Center. She was born on December 14, 1928 to the late George and Louise McKinney. She never married and lived 95 long years, in which she saw many changes during her lifetime. She retired from Colonial Bread Company in Paducah, KY, where she worked for many years. After retirement, Ms. McKinney was a caregiver to her family.

About 8 years ago, she made her home at the MS Care Center. She had the sweetest smile and you could not help but love her. She was a very intelligent lady whom loved doing arts & crafts and playing bingo. Ms. McKinney was soft spoken and a talker. She always had lots of interesting stories to tell from her lifetime.

Ms. McKinney was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Robert McKinney (Wilma); nephew, Brennen Thrasher; and niece, Anita Thrasher.

She leaves behind a nephew, Jerry McKinney; great great nieces whom she adored, Jaidyn Thrasher and Rebecca McKinney; special friends, Angie Browder, Rob Skelton, the Staff at MS Care Center, Dr Leonard Pratt, Dr. Preston Wright, and Carolyn James; and a host of other friends and family.
