Marjorie Ann Droke, 59, who loved to be called “Momma” by John and “Maggie” by those close to her, departed her loving family on June 25, 2022. Marjorie Ann was born in Tupelo, Mississippi on November 16, 1962, to Dorothy Ann McKewen Wyatt and George Lewis Wyatt.
Marjorie Ann was mother to John William Droke, the love of her life and the first thing she wanted to talk with you about. She loved to cook and entertain friends and family and was an avid music lover. To know her was to love her and she claims she learned everything from her own mother. Marjorie Ann was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Corinth, MS).
She is survived by her son, John Droke, Corinth, MS; her brothers, Nick Wyatt of Corinth, MS and Hank Wyatt (Stacey) of Hendersonville, TN; her nephews, Daniel Wyatt, Savannah GA, Nash Wyatt, Knoxville, TN and niece, Abby Wyatt, Hendersonville, TN; stepmother Lynn Wyatt of Riceville, TN; and a host of close family members and friends.
Marjorie Ann is preceded in death by her parents Dot Wyatt and George Wyatt; maternal grandparents, Nannie Lee and R.O. McKewen; and paternal grandparents, Lewis and Mertise Wyatt.
Visitation will be held at McPeters Funeral Home in Corinth MS on July 1st from 5:00-8:00 pm. The funeral will be held on July 2nd the following day at 1:00 p.m. with an additional viewing from 12-1 pm.
Pallbearers will be Daniel Wyatt, Nash Wyatt, Bob Heyer, Henry Wyatt II, Joe Norman, and Paul Jenkins.
