John Michael Shaw

John Michael "Skippy" Shaw, 60, of Corinth, Mississippi passed away on Saturday, November 25, 2023 at Magnolia Regional Health Center. John Michael was born Monday, October 14, 1963 to John and Melba Farris Shaw in Corinth, Mississippi.

Mr. Shaw was an avid hunter. He also was a collector of firearms and knives. To say the least, Mr. Shaw enjoyed sixty years full of adventure.

Mr Shaw is preceded in death by his father; John Shaw.

Mr. Shaw is survived by his mother, Melba Farris Shaw; his spouse, Connie Laird Shaw; a daughter, Kimberly Rickman (William Pitt); a stepson, Justin Laird (Samantha); a sister, Susan Watkins; four grandchildren; Harlea Brown (Dyllon), Jayden Rickman, Lane Laird, and J.D. Laird; and a great grandchild Wrynlea Brown.

There is a Celebration of Life Service scheduled for Wednesday, November 29, 2023 beginning at one o'clock in the afternoon at McPeters Funeral Directors Chapel in Corinth, Mississippi with Wesley Jackson and Frank Williams officiating. The family will accept friends Tuesday, November 28, 2023 beginning at five o'clock in the afternoon until eight o'clock in the evening as well as from noon until service time on Wednesday. The family has entrusted McPeters Funeral Directors for the care of the arrangements.
