Funeral service for Jessie A. Carter 94 are set for 11:00 A.M. Friday at McPeters Inc. Funeral Directors Chapel with Bro. Merl Dixon officiating. Burial will military honors will follow in the Corinth National Cemetery.
Mr. Carter died January 30, 2013 at his residence. He was born September 30, 1918 in McNairy Co. Tn to the late Tommy and Fannie Carter. Mr. Carter served in the US Army during WWII, having fought in Normandy and Northern France receiving two Bronze Stars, Good Conduct and Victory Medal. He was a retired farmer.
Preceded in death by his wife Nadis Carter, Parents, sisters Lillie Merrill, Bessie Nelms, Lessie Mae Nelms, brother Willie carter.
Survived by a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. Special caregivers W.G and Betty Nelms and Ricky Wilbanks.
Visitation is Thursday from 5 to 8 and Friday 10 to service time.
