Janet Gray

Services for Janet Carol Davis Gray, 85, will be held 3:00 pm Saturday, June 25, 2022 at First United Methodist Church in Corinth, with a private family interment at Magnolia Gardens. Family will have a friends gathering from 2:00 pm until service time at the church.

Janet, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother entered eternity peacefully in her home in Franklin, TN on Thursday, June 9, 2022.

Janet is preceded in death by her husband, Herman Lafayette Gray; and son, Glenn Davis Gray.

She is survived by children, Linda Wofford (Richard) of Franklin, TN, Mary Ellen Donaldson (Mark) of Brentwood, TN and David Gray (Ana-Maria) of Arlington, VA; grandchildren, Scott Wofford (Maria) of Seattle, WA, Kate Wofford (Nick Minton) of Philadelphia, PA, Julie Woodnorth (Mike) of Nashville, TN, Rachel Nelson (Will) of Nashville, TN, Clarissa Donaldson of Brentwood, TN, Mary Grace Donaldson of Nashville, TN, Jackson Gray of Arlington, VA and Caroline Gray of Arlington, VA; and great-grandchildren, Victoria Wofford, June Woodnorth, Theo Minton Wofford, and Isaac Nelson. Janet’s family extends special thanks to caregiver, Linda Biggs for her devoted service since 2020.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Glenn Davis Gray Scholarship Fund at the Mississippi University for Women or to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, TN.
