Henry Gray Story

Mr. Story died October 4, 2012 at Magnolia Regional Health Center. He was born January 1, 1933 in Clarksville, TN to the late Nolan and Ethel Story. He was a retired preacher serving 44 years in the Methodist Conference. He was a graduate of Blue Mountain College and Memphis Theological Seminary . He started serving at Mt Carmel in the Wenasoga community. Throughout the years he was chaplain for Alcohol and Drug Center in Columbus and chaplain and counselor for Methodist Outreach in Memphis, TN. He was Director and chaplain for the Wesley Foundation at MS Delta Community College and also taught bible classes at NEMCC. Bro. Story pastored several church in North MS. Ripley Circuit, Calvary Church in New Albany, Grace and Liberty Churches in Booneville, MS. , St. Stevens in Columbus, Belmont and Golden churches, his most recent before his retirement he served in the churches of Mt Carmel, Indian Spring, Hopewell and Box Chapel here in Corinth. MS. He was a US Air Force veteran. He enjoyed reading, music and spending time with his family.

Preceded in death by his wife of 47 years Jeanette McCalla Story, parents and several brothers and sisters.

Survived by his daughters Kathy (Glen) Fowler of Corinth, MS. Kim (Ray) Wallace of Memphis, TN. Jeff (Deni) Story of Willimgton, N.C. Sister-in-law Gail (Joe) Doty of Corinth, MS. Grandchildren Kristen, Hunter, J.B., Mitchell, Will, Lilli, Emma, Jack, Shelly, Erin, Elizabeth, Adrienne, Ryan, Nigel. Great grandchildren Jude and John.
