Mrs. Riggs died at her residence on December 26, 2013. She was born in New York to the late Arthur and Dorothy Havens Hargrave. She received her Nursing Degree from the University of Virginia and went on to work in the Pediatric Unit at UVA, Culpeper Nursing Facility with the geriatric patients, and played a major role in the Empty Tomb Outreach Ministry to assist those without insurance that needed medical attention.
Along with her parents, Mrs. Riggs was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Riggs; and two brothers, Joseph and James Hargrave.
Survivors include her daughter, Chan Moore and husband Mark of Troy, VA; one sister, Linda Spillman and husband David; several nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
