E.L. "Buddy" Ragan

Funeral services for E.L. “Buddy” Ragan 74 are set for 2:00 P.M. Sunday at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Ferrell Hester officiating. Burial will be in the Forrest Memorial Park.

Mr. Ragan died May 1, 2014 at Magnolia Regional Health Center. He was born December 1, 1939 in Alcorn Co. to the late H.E “Son” Ragan and Ester Tapp

Ragan. He was a member of Fraley’s Chapel Church of Christ. He was a 1958 graduate of Central High School in Memphis, TN., retired truck driver, he enjoyed fishing, loved his animals and enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren.

Preceded in death by his wife Barbara Essary Ragan, grandson Nicholas Ragan, parents, special friends Emmitt Dalton and Jimmy Bingham.

Survived by his daughter Lisa (Tim) Young, sons Richard (Kathleen) Ragan, Mitch (Sadonnah) Ragan, grandchildren Andrew Ragan, Matt Ragan, Brad (Elizabeth) Young, Bryce Young, brother Curtis Ragan, sister Eva Caldwell, In-laws Kenneth (Lavon) Essary, Jane (Phillip) Rowsey, Sue (Tommy) Crum, Debbie (Ronnie Morris) Essary, special friends Lynn Bingham, Little Jimmy and Sherry Bingham, Vonnie King, Lewis Vanderford, Margie, Phil and Joan Young.

Grandson will service as pallbearers

Honorary Lewis Vanderford, Marty Childers, Little Jimmy Bingham, Robert Bizzell

Family will receive friends Saturday from 5 to 8 and Sunday 1 to service time at the funeral home.
