Edward Olen Tucker

Edward Olen Tucker, 78, of Corinth, Mississippi passed away on Saturday, November 30, 2024 at his residence surrounded by his family and friends. Mr. Tucker was born September 28, 1946 in Carbon Hill, Alabama to the late Olen and Jessie Killingsworth Tucker.

Mr. Tucker served his community as a city police officer for the city of Corinth. He also worked as one of Corinth's first EMT's for Magnolia Regional Health Center. Edward lived in the state of California for some time where he worked for Universal Studios where he drove a truck, operated a tram, and catered to the celebrities that came there. He eventually would start his own company providing classic and exotic cars for hundreds of television shows and movies. Mr. Tucker retired as a teamster and moved back to Corinth in 2019. He was an avid and enthusiastic Los Angeles Dodgers baseball fan. He also enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family and wife.

Mr. Tucker is preceded in death by his parents; and two siblings, Jimmy Sue Mercer and Junior Wilbanks.

Mr. Tucker is survived by wife, Sheila Tucker; five children, Brienne Bullock (Aaron), Alyssa Tucker, Eddie Tucker (Belinda), Mike Tucker (LeAnn), and Johnny Tucker; ten grandchildren, A.J. Nicholas, Melissa Bullock, Tucker Fox, Analiese Wood, Kayleigh Bode (Andrew), Billy Tucker (Jenni), Chris Tucker (Marlaina), Tessa Brown (Brandon), Addi Jo Tucker, and Derrick Tucker; sisters, Betty Crum, Sandra Harvell, and Olendia Bell (Terry); six great grandchildren, and a host of extended family and friends.

There is a Celebration of Life Service scheduled for Thursday, December 5, 2024 beginning at two o'clock in the afternoon at Hatchie Chapel Church in Theo, Mississippi with Bro. Ronnie Mercer and Bro. Robert Johnson officiating. The family will accept friends Wednesday, December 4, 2024 at McPeters Funeral Directors in Corinth, Mississippi beginning at five o'clock in the afternoon until eight o'clock in the evening and from one o'clock in the afternoon until service time at the church on Thursday. The family has entrusted the care for the services to the staff of McPeters Funeral Directors in Corinth, Mississippi.

A visitation for Edward will be held Wednesday, December 4, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at McPeters Funeral Directors, 1951 East Third Street, Corinth, Mississippi 38834. A a celebration of life will occur Thursday, December 5, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Hatchie Chapel Church, Old Crum Bridge Road, Corinth, Mississippi 38834.
