Celebration of Life Service for Douglas “Doug” Hugh Mullins 61, are set for 2:00 p.m. Monday at Memorial Funeral Home with Bro. Nelson Hight, Bro. Daniel Spencer and Bro. josh Hodum officiating. Burial will be in the Pleasant Hill Methodist Church cemetery.
Doug died December 7, 2018 at his residence. Doug was born November 18, 1957 in Corinth, MS. to Aaron and Lila Mae (Miller) Mullins. He was a 1975 graduate of Kossuth High School and attended Northeast MS Community College. Doug begin his law enforcement career in 1977, starting as a dispatcher, patrolman, served as Chief Deputy for four Sheriffs, before retiring as Warden for Alcorn Co. Correctional Facility. Doug was an Eagle Scout, was a 32 degree Mason, Corinth Lodge 116. He enjoyed spending time with his family, epically his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Aaron Mullins.
He is survived by his wife, Vicki Mullins; mother Lila Mae Mullins; daughter Carly Nunley (Garrett); sons, Paul Mullins (Jordon), Casey Ross, josh Pendley (Ashley), Levi Pendley (Cynthia); sister, Wendie Wagoner (Jeff); grandchildren, Lila Mullins, Riley Mullins, Brayden Ross, Adley Beau Ross, Gracie Pendley, Grant Pendley, Haley Strickland, Payton Pendley, Addie Grace Nunley; special niece Jennifer Rencher (Adam); father-in-law and mother-in-law, Lee and Shirley Killough; host of other family and friends.
Alcorn Co. Sheriff Dept. and Corinth lodge 116, will service as honorary pallbearers.
