Dorothy Lee Godwin Alexander

Dorothy Alexander, age 89, died Sunday, March 13, 2011 at Whitefield Nursing Home. She was a member of Waldron Street Christian Church. She worked for many years as a receptionist for various doctors and dentist in Corinth.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, March 16, 2011, 2:00 pm at McPeters Inc. Funeral Directors Chapel with Bro. Ted Avant officiating. Burial with be in the Henry Cemetery. Visitation was will be Wednesday, March 16, 2011 from 1:00 pm until service time at the funeral home. There will be a short visitation following the service

She is preceded in death by her parents, Alfred Franklin and Grace Falls Godwin; three brothers, Willie D Godwin, Jack Godwin, and NJ Godwin; and three sisters, Jesse Frances Smith, Laura Patterson, and Patti Godwin.

Survivors include her spouse of 71 years, Irl Thomas Alexander, Sr.; one son, Dr. Tommy Alexanders (Nancy); and one daughter, Lynn Stine (Tommy) all of Corinth; six grandchildren, Rebecca Lynn Stine, Kimberly Dawn Alexander, William Stine (Alice), Deborah Lynn Baugus (Mike), Dana Leigh Laurie (Matt), and Dyana Rae Gates (Kenny); and eight great grandchildren, Trae Stine, Alexander Byrd, Kaleb Byrd, Michael Baugus, Jordan Gates, Aiden Laurie, Madison Gates, and Ashlyn Laurie.

Pallbearers will be William Stine, Mike Baugus, Kenny Gates, and Matt Laurie.
