Dale Mercer

A Celebration of Life Service for Foya Dale Mercer, Jr., 48, is set for 11:00 am Friday at McPeters Inc. Funeral Directors with Bro. Leonard Casabella officiating. Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Chewalla, TN. Family will receive friends Wednesday and Thursday from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at McPeters Inc. Funeral Directors.

Dale died December 26, 2021 at his residence. He was born November 7, 1973 in Chicago, IL. Dale attended McNairy Central High School and was a member of North Corinth Baptist Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his family.

He is preceded in death by his father, Foya Mercer, Sr.; paternal grandparents, William Hollis and Sally Mercer; and maternal grandparents, Frances Paul Leannah and Rita Akouris.

He is survived by his wife, Holly Mercer; mother, Peggy Zills; brothers, Hollis Mercer and Wally Moss; sisters, Theresa Mercer, Tina Lambert and Pamela Stanfield; aunt and uncle, Lonnie and Ruth Bray; and several nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Pallbearers are Willie Bryant, Ricky Romero, Hollis Mercer, Josh Brown, Cody Stanfield, Daniel Stanfield, Wayne Cook, and Joe Jones.
