Curtis Elam

A Celebration of Life Service for Curtis Wayne Elam, 74, is set for 11:00 am Saturday at Memorial Funeral Home with Bro. Josh Westmoreland officiating. Burial will follow in the Tippah Shiloh Methodist Church Cemetery. Family will receive friends Friday from 5:00 to 8:00 pm and Saturday from 10:00 to service time.

Curtis died December 20, 2023. He was born February 25, 1949 in Tippah Co. MS to the late Walter Houston Elam and Mary Zilphia Elam. He was a retired truck driver and logger. He enjoyed hunting, buying and selling cars, and spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Dimple Crum Elam; son, Robby Smith; parents; brother, Junior Elam; and sisters, Dorothy Bobo and Shirley Crum.

He is survived by his sons, Scottie Elam and Travis Smith (Angie); brothers, Don Elam, Johnny Elam and Leland Elam; sister, Becky Crum; grandchildren, Bryson Smith, Isaac Smith, Brittany Thomas, Montana Pitts (Mark), Savannah Cooper (Kason) and Jaydee and Aeva Baswell; a great grandchild, Neva Stone; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Pallbearers will be Bryson Smith, Isaac Smith, Aaron Crum, Wesley Wilbanks, Kason Cooper, and Dewey Mincy.
