Christine Virginia Johnson

Christine V. Johnson, 93, of Corinth, MS, passed away Thursday, October 12, 2023 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was a member of East Corinth Baptist Church. She will always be remembered for her dry sense of humor. Christine retired after 25 years of service as a line operator for ITT Telecommunications. She loved to read recipe books and work word search puzzles.

Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by her husband, Tulon Johnson; her parents, Jimmie and Mary Lou Hathcock; two brothers, Jimmy Wayne Hathcock and Charles Hathcock; and three brothers in law, R.D. Samples, Lain Johnson and Swain Johnson.

She is survived by her son, Randy (Judy) Johnson of Counce, TN; a daughter, Cindy (Jeff) of Corinth; four grandchildren, Sherra (Jerry) Wadkins, Kevin (Chasity) Johnson, Karen Johnson and Lew Johnson; four great-grandchildren, Annah Kate DeBerry, Shelbi Wadkins, Gage Wadkins and Knoxlee Johnson; sister, Kathryn Samples; four sisters in law, Betty Hathcock, Doris Hathcock, Marie Johnson and Della Johnson; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Lew Johnson, Jerry Wadkins, Gage Wadkins, Kevin Johnson, Phillip Hathcock, and Bill Page.

There is a Celebration of Life Service scheduled for Sunday, October 15, 2023 beginning at three o’clock in the afternoon with Bro. Ralph Culp officiating at McPeters Funeral Directors in Corinth, MS. The family will accept friends beginning at one o’clock in the afternoon until service time.
