Betty M. Brown

Betty M. Brown, born December 28, 1932, passed away in her home with family nearby on Sunday, January 14, 2024.

Betty was the daughter of William and Evelyn Mae Studebaker and born in Zion, IL. She was the widow of Carlton R. Brown, whom she married in 1951. They lived in Rockford, IL for 57 years.

Betty served with Habitat for Humanity, the Girl Scouts, the Boy Scouts, and her church family at Third Presbyterian Church as Parish Coordinator, Sunday School Teacher, Elder, Deacon and Prayer group Leader.

Betty was preceded in death by her brother, Arnold Studebaker and sister, Edna Griffin.

Betty is survived by her children, Scott Brown (Kris), Melanie Kuligowski (Edward) and William Brown (Sarah); 8 grandchildren, R.J. Kuligowski, Andrea Rose, Karen Burbank, Sandra Nguyen, Jillian Fuller, Andy Brown, Molly Brown and Liam Brown; and 12 great grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, January 20th at New Hope Presbyterian Church in Biggersville, MS.
