As time races by I searched - for friends and found the notice of Ray passing. 

 I had to sit down. 

 So sad and yet so rich as I remember high school - class of 1963, and others such as Tommy King - of Kings Hardware on Long Island Avenue. Roy Quinn, Bob Chesire, and others. Others I can see in my head but some of the names are hard to reach for a 78 year old man.  We never met again after high school. Then Vietnam , college, and life we took different paths.

I am so sorry to hear of Raymond's passing. I will always remember the good times shared with Raymond's family,and the fun we had in our youth. My deepest sympathy to Ray's entire family especially to his siblings, children, and daughter, Carolyn.

I received a call from my sister on LI asking me if I recognized the name.  I certainly did immediately. Lived down the street from them growing up. I was friends with Barbara but moved away when I was 12 and lost touch. Sounds like Raymond was very accomplished, doesn't surprise me. Growing up the whole family was great. I worked with Rays father and mother in 1967 at Billy Blakes Food Parade in Smithtown N.Y.
Ray SR. and Dottie always talked about their son and family all the time.
When I was in Viet Nam in 1968 Ray's mother and father wrote me always. I never met Ray JR. but I see the resemblance of his father. I read it in Newsday today of his passing. Rest in Peace

So saddened to hear of Coach Ray's untimely passing. He coached my daughter Lacey in Coral Springs until she played at BC. I always remember him being such a nice guy with the girls and the parents. Peace to all the family and close friends. Thank you Coach Ray for all your years of service to our country and community!

Rest in Peace Ray.  You were a good friend and served many people through out your life. I'll hold you fondly in my heart and memory.

I had the privilege and pleasure of coaching with Ray for many years and our daughters. Erin and Melissa played travel softball together.  Those were some wonderful times and we will always remember Ray with integrity and respect.
