There are very few people I know who loved life as much as Judy.  Her dad and my mother were siblings and the families were very close in our early years. She was a very big influence in my early adult life when I lived in South Florida and we had many great escapades during those years.  We worked together for several years in the 70’s at JCPenney, teaching me about the world of cosmetics. We loved going to Jai L’ai and out to dinner with our friends. As things happen, we lost touch when I moved back to New Jersey.  Several years ago, we were able to reconnect through Facebook and once again, we got to have a few special times together when I visited Judy and Ralph in 2015, our trip to New York, where she was able to see our cousin on perform on Broadway, and our weekend in Florida, again seeing our cousin, Jimmy perform. Just a few months ago we talked about going on a cruise. If we had gone, she would have been the life of the party. 
I know she is having a glorious reunion with her beloved Ralph, as well as her parents, sister, and her beloved Aunt Bert. I am sure the  ladies are going to bingo and winning every game. 
It saddens me that I can’t be there to celebrate Judy’s life and to pay my respects to Helen, Marie and the rest of the family.  I know how incredibly proud she was of her family.  I have just had surgery, so traveling is not possible. I will be there in spirit and I will miss her.  Rest easy, Jude, until we meet again.

Dear Judy, 
I will miss your smile, your laughter & jokes, your understanding heart and the way you never judged. I’ll miss talking to you on the phone after we moved away from Florida. Months & years might have passed but our conversations took right up as if it had only been yesterday since we last saw each other. How I wish we could talk again. I’ll miss the way you called me ( and all your friends) “Luv”. You were so much fun to be with.  You and Ralph gave those wonderful parties! 
Judy, I know you must be very happy to be reunited with Ralph again and your parents & sister too. You are a sunbeam in Heaven, bringing joy & singing with the angels. I’ll miss you here but I am glad your suffering is  over & you are at peace.

I can’t thank Judy enough for inviting my daughter Alyssa, on several occasions, to accompany her grandaughter Miranda, (as little girls) on trips to their Fort Lauderdale penthouse, when it wasn’t rented out. She treated the girls to lunches, manicures, shopping on Las Olas and boat rides on the water taxi. She was always fun and outspoken and very proud of her family. May her memory be forever a blessing.

I only met Judy once at a family reunion but her spirit and laughter made me feel as if we'd known eachother a long time.  Keeping in contact through Facebook was a blessing and also brought me to cousins I didn't know I had, Helen and her 2 daughters.   For this, I am thankful.  My parents would also visit with Judy when they traveled to Florida.  I'm blessed to have known Judy.
