Jean Carney Earhart

Jeanie is survived by her son, Michael G. Earhart, and his wife Reina of Eureka, CA; her brother “Skip” Carney and his wife Cathy of Coral Springs, FL; nieces Margie, Rachel (Joe) and Julia and nephews Jody (Emily), Danyel, Landen and Daryl; three grandchildren: Joshua (Rebecca) Wilkinson, Rebekah (Keith) Brooks and Rachel Hardy; six great grandchildren: Caden and Macy Wilkinson, Taylor, Raigan and Korah Brooks, Khloey Hardy and Mylah Hotelling.

She is predeceased by her husband, Michael R. Earhart of 50 years.

Jeanie was born on June 16, 1948, in Catskill, NY, to parents Eugene J. Carney Jr. and Margaret F. Carney. She graduated from St. Patricks High School in 1967.

Jeanie was a great family woman and a loving mother. She married Michael R. Earhart on August 25, 1968.

While in California, Jeanie enjoyed traveling with Michael in their RV, loving multiple dogs who were part of the family and even had the special opportunity to be neighbors with her son & daughter in law.

After Michael’s passing, she fulfilled her dream of going back to Catskill & creating her cozy “Blue Moon.” She got to experience the fall and winter seasons again in her beloved Upstate New York.

She enjoyed reading on the beach, spending time with family as well as friends who became family, meeting new people, making biscotti, and going to the casino. If music was playing, Jeanie was dancing.

A funeral is scheduled on July 21, 2023, 10:00 am, at St. Mary’s Church 80 Mansion St. Coxsackie, NY 12051, A livestream will be available.
