Jacqueline G. Thureson passed away on November 11, 2024, at the age of 92. Born on February 28, 1932 in Cincinnati, Ohio, Jacqueline "Jackie" was a gentle, beloved, and caring mother and friend residing in Port St. Lucie and Parkland, Florida.
Jackie will be deeply missed by all the lives she touched, particularly her family. She is survived by her three sons Tim Thureson and wife Barbara, Terry Thureson and wife Dena, Thomas Thureson and wife Maria and grandchildren, James Thureson and Sean Thureson. She is also survived by her brother, Joe Gies and wife Nancy, and her sister, Nancy Gies Higgs. Jackie was predeceased by her husband of 53 years, James H. Thureson, and her parents, Joseph Gies and Amelia Fehr Gies.
As a devout Catholic, Jackie was actively involved with her church her entire life. She had a passion for traveling, was active in her community, was a wine enthusiast, loved walking in the evenings with friends, enjoyed bowling, and was fond of playing card games.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, November 23, 2024, at 11:00 am at Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church, located at 5980 N University Dr, Parkland, FL 33067. To honor her wishes a cremation will follow.
Jackie will be fondly remembered by all who knew her happy spirit.
