Matthews, Edwin George Jr., 78, of Tamarac, formerly of Palm Bay, Florida passed away November 7, 2014. Edwin was born June 25, 1936 in Baldwin, New York to the late Edwin George Matthews Sr. and Catherine (Graten) Matthews. Edwin leaves behind his four daughters, Katherine (Katey) Selchan and her husband, Cory, Adrienne Gilbert and her husband, Michael, Stacey Roark, Alison Wilkerson (Glover), grandchildren, Justin Gilbert, Curtis Selchan, Kasey Selchan, Megan Roark, Cody Roark, Nicolas Glover, great grandchildren, Teagan Lee Gilbert, Jordan Bentley Selchan and Macie Emilia Lewis. Thank you to the members of Vitas Hospice, Team 159, for the care and dignity given to him especially during the last days of his journey. Ed was a good husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and dear friend to those who knew him. He will be missed dearly. A graveside service will be held at a later date with military honors at Fountainhead Memorial Gardens, Palm Bay, Florida where he will rest with his beloved wife, Emilia.
