Gigante, Dorothy Joan, 96, of Tamarac, passed away May 16, 2019. Dorothy was born October 1, 1922 in Brooklyn, New York to the late Salvatore and Serafina (Figlozzi) Conti. She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and loved to spend a day at Gulfstream Race Track betting on her favorite horse, where her reasoning was to bet the one who lasts goes to the bathroom on the Paddock floor! Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Christine (Michael) Orsburn, Edward (Lori) Gigante, grandchildren, Jarred (Stephanie) Nicolaou, great grandchildren, Emma & Oliver, sister, Evelyn Grande and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Monday, May 20, 2019, 2:00 - 5:00pm at Kraeer Funeral Home & Cremation, 1655 University Drive, Coral Springs, where a Celebration of Life Service will begin at 5:00pm. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made in Dorothy's memory to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital at www.stjude.org
