Carole’s beloved husband, Vince Lucido, preceded her in death in 2018 and her sister, Dorothy Farley, in 2014. Carole is survived by her brothers, John Farley (Dianne), Michael Farley (Elizabeth), Timothy Farley (Marilyn), Thomas Farley(Diane), and James Farley (Margaret), and her sister, Ellen Hughes. Carole is also survived by many, many loving nieces and nephews. Carole also had many, many adoring friends.
Carole grew up on Staten Island, New York, the eldest of 8 children. Carole led an exemplary life, and had dedicated her life to her deep faith in God and the Church. Answering His call, Carole entered the Order of St. John the Baptist as a nun in her early adult life, and spent 20 years as an Elementary Educator. Carole’s initial assignment was as a Missionary in Zambia, Africa, where she taught Missionary children for 5 years. Carole also taught at St John’s Villa Academy on Staten Island, and was both Superior and Principal at St. Dominic’s School in the Bronx, NY.
After 20 years, Carole left the Religious Life. Carole entered the life of the working woman, employed in the field of Insurance. During this time, Carole met and married her beloved husband, Vince. Carole and Vince had been living in Florida since 2000, and had remained faithful and diligent active members of their church, St. Elizabeth Ann Seton in Coral Springs.
There will be a brief Viewing at the Kraeer Funeral and Cremation Center on February 13 from 3pm to 7pm.
On February 14, at 11am, the Funeral Mass will be at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church in Coral Springs. Interment will follow at the South Florida Veterans Cemetery in Lake Worth, FL where she will be united with her beloved Vince.
