Carol Ann Passanante

1945-2023

After a long battle with breast cancer, Carol Ann Passanante (Polizzi) died peacefully

surrounded by family on March 6th in Providence, Rhode Island at the age of 78.

Carol is survived by her children Diana Gallagher of Cary, IL., her husband, Kevin

Gallagher, and their children James, Michael, and Brian. She is also survived by her son,

Dominick Passanante, of Cumberland, RI., his wife, Kim, and their children, Joseph,

Samantha, Emily, Dominick and Nicholas. Carol is preceded in death by her loving

husband, Dominick Passanante, her parents and brother, Lenny Polizzi.

She was born on February 4, 1945 in Brooklyn, New York to Leonard Polizzi and Florence

Polizzi (Mayo). She married Dominick in 1964 in Long Island, New York. They spent the

next 53 years building a beautiful life together, raising children, enjoying travel, and

celebrating milestones with their eight grandchildren.

Family and friends whose lives were touched by Carol are invited to her funeral at Kraeer

Funeral Home on 1655 N University Dr, Coral Springs on Monday, March 13th. Visitation

hours will be held between 8:30 am - 10:00 am followed by mass at St. Andrew’s Catholic

Church at 11:00 am. Carol will be laid to rest at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Cemetery in

North Lauderdale immediately following her funeral mass.
