My Italiano, I wanted to write something special for you to tell you how I feel. The first day I met you it was my first day volunteering. They asked me to pass out coffee. I went over to you and asked but you replied you couldn't have any because your doctor said you couldn't have liquids. I was about to go to the next person but you grabbed my hand and just held it. That day I just grew a bond towards you. I would always say Hi and give you a hug but I wasn't that close to you yet. So couple days later you saw me and you mistook me for your daughter. It made me happy because you thought I was your family.  After a while, I didn't need any more service hours but you stole my heart.  So I went everyday just to see that smile on your face and to get my hug.  You were the first person I looked for when I arrived.  Others would stop me but I would always tell them I would be right back.   We would always talk and talk. Whenever I was upset or sad about something you always made me happy.  When I sat next to you, you always held my hand.  That was something really special to me because my grandpa always held my mom's hand and remembering that always makes her happy.  I never met my grandpa but you made me feel like you were him holding my hand.   When I had to leave you would always give me big fat wet kiss on my cheek. The hug you gave me was tight and comforting. I would always come home and tell my mom about everything we talked about.   I remember when you told me you lived in Italy.  I asked you what was it like because I was Italian and I never been there. So you would always talk about Italy with me. I remember when I asked you my name in Italian you said "Estate".  We sometimes talked about your family.  I loved listening to your stories because you always looked happy talking about them.   I usually would leave around 5:00.  If it was past 5:00 you would always ask why I am there so late.  That I have school tomorrow.  You use to say I'm thinking about going home or I'm going home with you today to see your family.  You never did come home with me but in my heart you did.  My whole family knew how special you were to me.  So, you kind of did go home with me.  Tony, you don't know how badly I wanted you to live in my house so I could see you every day. When you first met my mom you had the biggest smile on your face.  My mom told you take care of me and you said I will then you looked towards me with a big smile on your face. One day I was walking past the kitchen and I saw you. I walked over to you and you were taking the little milk packets off the tables. I asked you what you were doing and you replied "they won't give me milk. So I'm going to make my own milk." You took the coffee cup and starting pouring the milk in there. Our friendship grew and grew. I considered you family. When you went to heaven you took a part of me with you. I'm very happy to say, I also have a part of you.  You gave me memories that I will cherish forever.  There's so much I want to write Tony but I don't know how to write everything without writing you a book. The other day I was thinking about how I still want you in my life. So I said, when I have a boy in the future I would name him Anthony after you. That is also my Grandpas middle name so he will be happy as well.  I Love You so much and I will always think of you. Hope your time in heaven be Blessed and Peaceful. If you see my grandpa tell him we love him very much. Oh and don't argue about who makes better Italian food. RIP my beloved Tony. I grew up with Tony and Helen hosting pre Friday night church dance pizza parties at their home that Cathy and our mutual friends thoroughly enjoyed. Added to that was a lifetime of happy memories with Tony and his family. He epitomized the very best as father, friend, and follower of Christ's teachings. 
Always smiling, helpful, easy going, and kind hearted, Tony was a force for good. His memory will always be cherished in my heart. He has left his neck of the woods a better place and all who knew him benefitted from his gracious and graceful life.

Tony & Helen were like family to me. I've known them all of my life. They were great friends to my mom & dad and I have wonderful memories of them. They were always fun & uplifting to be with.
