Aida was born on February 24, 1930 in Trujillo, Peru to Andres Campos Tarazona and Blanca Rosa Zulema Garces Sandoval. Aida married Ricardo Sanchez Martinez, a College Professor, in 1962. At the age of 9 Aida lost her father and had to give up her education to support her mother and siblings. That sacrifice turned into a passion for her when she became a Regional manager at Singer USA in Lima, Peru and later creating her own school transportation company. Aida and her family moved to the United States in 1984. She is remembered by her daughters as a compassionate, fun, kind, loving and hard-working mother and friend, who encouraged them to pursue their passions such as music, dance and the love for God, as she always lived a servant life.
Aida was a loving and generous individual who enjoyed music, live arts and her daughters singing and playing guitar. She also loved to cook, bake and sew. She was an active and dedicated member of St. Bonaventure Catholic Church in Sunrise Florida and then of Our Lady Queen of Heaven in North Lauderdale Florida. She was also a volunteer at Lions Club International for several years.
A funeral service is scheduled for Saturday February 13th at 6pm at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church in North Lauderdale. Father Kidney will officiate the ceremony. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Aida’s life.
