A. Jane Schwartzer

Alma Jane Schwartzer "Janie" (nee Collett) was called home on November 24th 2022 at the age of 87 after a courageous battle with Parkinson's Disease.

Alma is survived by her husband of 67 years, Wayne; children Jeff, Lynn, and Michael; grandchildren Ryan and Meredith and great-grandchildren Charlotte and Jack who she loved to hold and Janie also leaves behind the pets of the family Benny, Ace and Ruby.

Janie was born on January 19, 1935 in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania to Russell and Alma Collett. Janie was so proud of her hard work and dedication when she earned her Nursing License in 1955. Another milestone in Janie's life in 1955 was when she married her high school sweetheart Wayne. Janie and Wayne had just celebrated their 67th Wedding Anniversary.

Janie was a pioneer of Hospice Care as well as Home Health Nursing in Broward County beginning in the early 80"s. It was this passion and compassion that guided her to the end of this chapter.

A visitation for Janie will be held Monday, November 28, 2022 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Kraeer Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 1655 University Drive, Coral Springs, FL 33071. A reception will be held at the family's home.

Graveside service will occur Thursday, December 8, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at South Florida Veterans Cemetery, 6501 State Road 7, Lake Worth, FL 33449.

In lieu of flowers it was Janie's wish that donations be made to the Humane Society of Broward County.
