Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother and Business woman passed away at her home in Kempner, TX. She will be laid to rest at Hillsdale Cemetery. She was born in Lake Victor, TX to the late Martin and Mary Cox. She attended schools in Mt. Blank, Bertram and Nixon Clay Business College in Austin, TX. Marie married Jack M. Stephens on February 14, 1943 in Longview, TX. Together Jack and Marie raised 2 daughters and 2 sons, 7 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Jack and Marie worked side by side 24 hours 7 days a week owning and operating fruit stands, and 2 mobile home parks; the 190 Palms R/V Park in Copperas Cove, TX and the Stephens Mobile Home Park in Kempner, TX.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Jack M. Stephens of Kempner, TX. Jack Stephens served his Country in WWII as a US Navy Sailor. Marie was also preceded in death by their son, Robert D. Stephens of Kempner, TX and their daughter, Linda M. Stephens Robinson of Copperas Cove, TX.

She is survived by a son, Sammy D. Stephens and his wife Dapha Stephens of Caddo Gap, AR., a daughter, Debra L. Stephens of Kempner, TX., a son-in-law, Robbie Robinson of Copperas Cove, TX., a brother, Jim Cox and his wife Shirley and a sister, June Whitman and her husband Bob of Marble Falls, TX.

The Stephens family will receive guests for a time of visitation from 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM on Tuesday, July 15, 2014 at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home of Copperas Cove. Funeral services will at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, July 15, 2014 in the chapel of Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home of Copperas Cove. Burial will follow the services at Hillsdale Cemetery in Izoro, TX.
