It has been a long time and when I saw Sterlings name today it touched my heart. I know God needed Sterling and that is why he was called home at such a young age. I worked with Sterling and could count on him for that warm smile and a high five walking down the hall anytime I saw Sterling. We miss you Brother Sterling and when I walk the same halls at work you are never forgotten. God bless you. Your friend Redondo.

Peace. True he will never be forgotten. We had a food science class together.  As classmates he was always cool. One time after all the food was done for the day, well the food science part of the class and we were getting to the eating.  I had been the one to make the Kool aid he put me on blast for making it with hot water! I tried to come up with something smart to say like it helps the sugar dissolve faster! It was no biggie there was a ice machine in the back. Peace.  Even though we only had that one class it's cool we got to sit down and eat in that class. Peace again.

Our family was deeply saddened to find out about the passing of Sterling. When he was attending Copperas Cove HS, he would come over to our house for our son’s, Raphael’s, birthday party. Our son, Raphael, played alongside Sterling on the football team. He was a polite and caring person. He was always a joy to see. He will be truly missed by all of us. We are blessed to have known him. Our sincerest condolences to his family.

Sterling was a kind soul in the world. He always had a smile on his face and a good word or two to share with me. I know he loved those 2 boys like only a Father can. From one Father to the next we shared stories about the trials and tribulations that go with parenting. Sterling always gave me those few minutes in the hallway on a busy day, and he shared the love he had for his children and their Mother. God bless you Sterling, I will see you on ther side my friend.

In 1996 the Lewis and Scott family met.  Our friendship quickly went to family status and we are still together!  Lil Sterling was my little man.  His smile and those dimples would melt my heart.  Not to mention when he would say Auntie Glo, I knew what was next "would you make me some pancakes"?or can we go to the bowling alley? I always gave in.  If only if I could  hear him say Auntie Glo or Ms. Glo one more time.  But instead, my heart heavy with just the memories of his smile and voice. 
 I can't imagine how Angie, Sterling, Ashley and Antoinette are feeling.  
Just know this  family that I love you and Lil Sterling is resting, worry and pain free at the feet of Our Father God.  Thank you for sharing Lil Sterling with us and find peace knowing that you raise a Good Man!

Sterling Sr., my former coworker friend and neighbor, always spoke so proudly of his son and his accomplishments. I look forward to hearing of his sporting events when we would talk at work. My heart is saddened. 
Although many years have passed, Sterling a.k.a(Lil Sterling) was never forgotten for his gentle spirit and smile.
I still remember as nextdoor neighbors his sweet "Hi Ms. Cee"! When he was just a tiny little 8 or 9 year old until he graduated and left for college. I know that heaven has welcomed you with opened arms.

To the Lewis and Redgaurd Family, my condolences are with you during this time. Sterling, if you were anything like your sister (Toni) then you were an awesome young man.  Your sister often spoke of you and nothing delighted her more than a discussion about her brother and the babies. So take your rest in knowing that you were loved by so many!

Sterling we met in 2006 when you showed up for fall camp at Blinn. You were the definition of calm, cool, and collected. Nothing ever got you rattled, you never got over emotional but still had an uncanny ability to make people laugh. I will never forget during one of our practices you hit me so hard that my mouthpiece popped out and you reached your arm out and said “my bad Vinny, I’m just trying to start”. That’s the kind of character you had, you always worked hard but made sure that you took care of the people around you. I can’t put into words how great of a person you were and I know for a fact you were an even better father. You will be missed and never forgotten. May God bless you and your family. Sterling I met you 9 years ago, as you took me under your wing, and made me your brother, I remember the talks and hangouts and how we just made a huge bond, you were there when most people weren’t for me, always there to call my a clown and make me drink crown lol, my son, would call you uncle sterling, as for your boys you share with my sister will always have a positive role model thanks for the years and memories love you bro see you on the other side one day. Sterling was truly an amazing young man.  I first met Sterling at our Bulldawg Football Camps and his smile, enthusiasm and eagerness to compete was there even as a little boy.   I then had the pleasure of Coaching Sterling in the 9th grade and he had that same smile, enthusiasm and eagerness to compete.  I watched him grow thru the years from a little pudgy teen to extraordinary athlete.   He worked so hard to make himself into a D1 athlete.  There are so many memories,  just one would not be a story that could tell the true tale of Sterling!  I will truly miss Sterling and his unbelievable smile!    I know that you had so many that will love and miss you.  Once a DAWG always a DAWG my BROTHER!

As a little boy Sterling’s smile always shone bright and is my vision of him.  My nephew was always polite with a “yes, ma'am”, and had that smile for everyone he greeted.  He was athletically gifted and kind and we had became more close when he decided he had found his true love and wanted to begin a family of his own.  We had long conversations about life and what he dreamt.  I truly believe his greatest joy and gift to us, is to have accomplished becoming a Father.  This is truly our blessing. He will be rejoiced as the  forever smiling and handsome Father, Husband, Son, Brother, Grandson, Friend, Athlete, Cousin and Nephew. #RIP

My heart breaks right now. I remember Sterling, Travis, Brent and 
Arthur all hanging out at our house. Sterling was an exceptional human being. Such a huge loss for this world. Sterling I know you are living large in Heaven. Can’t wait to see you there! 

Sterling was one of finest young men I ever had the pleasure of coaching. He was a warrior. He was a leader and he was focused. He had the desire the play D1 football and would not take no for an answer. He started at Blinn  Junior College, becoming an All-American and then received a D1 scholarship at the University of Arizona. He was a top D1 player, starting two years and led the team. Sterling was the true example of being a DAWG! I am blessed to have had him in my life. RIP my brother.
