Peggy Joyce Shaver

Peggy Joyce Sutton Shaver passed away surrounded by family and friends on Thursday, September 28, 2023. She was born April 22, 1941 and was preceded in death by the late Henry and Ethel Sutton (parents) and by her brother Floyd Sutton and sister Claytie Sutton Batey.

She grew up in Charlotte, Tennessee, and, after graduation, attended cosmetology school. She was the wife and homemaker and devoted her life to her loving husband David H. Shaver (U.S. Army, retired).

Left to honor her was her loving, devoted husband David H. Shaver, her four children Shanta Shaver Holland, David S. Shaver, Kevin Shaver, and Sharon L. Shaver, four granddaughters, two grandsons, seven great-grandchildren, and dear family friends Brian, Camie, and Nation Crisp.

Peggy Shaver will be remembered as a devoted Christian and served as a grandparent to hundreds of adopted grandchildren through her many years of serving the Lord across the country and world.

The family will receive visitation at For Whosoever Will Church in Killeen, TX on Sunday October 1, 2023 from 1:00pm until 3:00 pm with the funeral following directly after. She will be laid to rest on Monday October 2, 2023 at 9:30 am at Kempner Cemetery.
