Mrs. Nina Ruth Fields Wilburn

Nina was born January 28, 1928 in Ladonia, Texas to Charlie Fields and Virgie Lee (Williams) Fields.

She and her family have lived in Copperas Cove since 1955. She was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church in Copperas Cove.

She was preceded in death by her husband Charlie Allen Wilburn in 1992, two brothers and two sisters.

She is survived by two sons, Mike Wilburn and his wife Pam of Copperas Cove and Ron Wilburn of San Antonio; two grandsons, Michael Wilburn and his wife Stephanie of Lewisville and Kevin Wilburn of Copperas Cove; a great grandson Hunter Allen Wilburn of Lewisville; a sister Mary Hayes of Ladonia; three brothers, Cecil Fields of Lubbock, Granville Fields of Ladonia and Alvin Fields of Honey Grove.

The Wilburn family will receive guests for a time of visitation from 6-8 p.m. Friday, May 14, 2010 at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home in Copperas Cove. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, May 15, 2010 at First Baptist Church in Copperas Cove with Pastor Mark Kemp officiating. Interment services will follow in the Copperas Cove City Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be Larry Wilburn, Pat Wilburn, Alan Fields, John Earl Fields, Jeff Hayes and Carrol Mulder. Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Akroosh, Billy Ryan, Doug West, Ron Carpenter, Matt Burch and Hardy Ingram.

Nina will always be remembered as a dedicated family lady.
