Marjorie May Aletha Mitchell

Marjorie May Aletha Mitchell, age 82, of Copperas Cove, Texas passed away on Tuesday, February 1, 2022. Marjorie was born April 21, 1939 in Saint Marie, Ontario, Canada to parents William and Margaret White.

Marjorie was raised as a military child and traveled around the world with her parents until they settled in Copperas Cove. She was a devoted member of Grace United Methodist Church and was largely involved with the church activities including the Grace United Methodist Women's organization. Marjorie also enjoyed square dancing and even served as president of the Double C's Square Dance Club for 12 years. She also found interests in sewing, crafting , and indulging in a good book. Marjorie was a bubbly person and very friendly. She was very loving, hardworking, and dedicated to any journey she took in life.

She is preceded in death by her parents and son, James B. Mitchell.

Marjorie is survived by her daughter, Kelly L. Mitchell; granddaughters, Chesnee M. Mitchell and Cheyann L. Mitchell; brother Allen Neil White; along with many friends whom she loved dearly.

A funeral service for Marjorie will be held Saturday, March 26, 2022 at 10:00 AM at Grace United Methodist Church, 101 W Ave F, Copperas Cove, Texas 76522. A celebration of life will occur Sunday, March 27, 2022 at 1:00 PM at VFW 8577, 1506 Veterans Ave, Copperas Cove, Texas.
