Going with my daughter Stephanie to work gave me the pleasures of socializing with Frank.  Frank & I had a lot of talking we did while Stephanie done a great job doing a lot for him.  It's very heartbreaking knowing now that Frank passed away but he is now in a much better place so he won't be miserable no more.  My prayers are with his two sons & all the rest of you also.  

I spent almost two years taking care of Frank. I started out as his caregiver, but then thought of him as more like a father figure. I wanted to share a couple of funny stories about the time I had with Frank. He was always a jokester and that's how I'll always remember him. 

There was this one time when I arrived at his house at 9am. He was laying on the floor because of a fall. The very first thing that came out of his mouth was, "can you please make me a cup of coffee?" Lol. I made sure he was ok first and called the ambulance for assistance and then made him some coffee. I pulled him up to sitting position, sat behind him with my back against his back, and we had our coffee. A perfect way of waiting for help. 

There was this other funny moment when I had to take Frank to the hospital. It was at the beginning of his cancer returning. The doctor walked in and said, "Frank, I just seen you not too long ago. What brings you back in?" Frank jokingly said, "I missed you." It was the funniest thing ever. I will never forget these two moments taking care of him. 

Frank was an amazing man. He served 20 years in the Army. He survived two aircraft crashes. He raised two handsome men with beautiful families. He stayed strong and faught as long as he could with his cancer. 

Frank is in much better hands now and God will take better care of him than any of us ever could. I miss you, Franky poo. (He hated when I called him that lol). 

I am very sorry for your loss. Your Daddy was a very special man. I only knew Frank 18 months, but I loved him so very much. He was knowledgeable about so many things and always tried to share his wisdom and experience to help in any situation. I enjoyed learning about his career in the army and all of the amazing places he had been and things he had done. He was funny and kind and uplifting. We met at a time when we both really needed a friend and the friendship grew from there.  There will never be another person as unique and wonderful as Frank. I miss and love him every day.  I am truly  Blessed and honored to have known him. 

I know that he is in heaven sharing stories about all of the helicopters he worked on and  how he oversaw those repairs.   God Bless, Joana Phillips
