Frances D. Humphries Ross

Funeral services for Frances D. Ross, 82, of Killeen, formerly of Copperas Cove, will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 19, 2010 at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home Chapel in Copperas Cove. Dr. Mark Kemp will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Copperas Cove City Cemetery.

Mrs. Ross passed away June 15, 2010 in a Temple hospital.

She was born December 24, 1927 in Cullman County, Alabama to Walter Miles and Lorena Goodlett Humphries.

She married Willard Lavon Ross on December 24, 1946 in Buchanan, Georgia. He preceded her in death on March 11, 1980. They moved to the Copperas Cove area in 1961. Frances was a member of the First Baptist Church of Copperas Cove.

She was also preceded by a sister, Mary Kathleen Warren.

Survivors include Linda and Doyle Wells of Belton; Larry and Susan Ross of Kempner; Wendell Ross of Kempner and Felicia and Joe Brockett of Killeen; a sister, Elna Stone of Joppa, Alabama; brothers, Wayne Humphries of Arab, Alabama and Mack Humphries of Albertville, Alabama; nine grandchildren; nine great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

A time of visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
