Obituary

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Darla Kattner on April 3, 2025 at the age of 69. She was a beloved wife, mom, grandma and great grandma.

Darla was a long-time resident of Lampasas, Texas. She was born in Dallas, Texas October 6, 1955. She retired after 40 years of dedicated civil service, starting as a Loader for military tanks and ending as Quality Control Government Contract Inspector.

Darla was the most loving, kind, and generous person. Family was her life, related or not. If she loved you, you were family. She will be remembered by her smile and laugh, her kind spirit, and her compassionate selfless love.

She is survived by Husband; Larry Kattner, Brother; Danny Armstrong (Shuchin), and Sister-in-law Carolyn Anderson.

Children Krista (Paul), Britni, James, and Shawn (Jennifer).

Grandchildren Kelsey (Tony), Kayla, Gage (McKayla), Nick, Taylor, Morgan, Bailey, Madeline (Chase), Anderson and Brendin (Bethany).

Great grandchildren Ellayna, Viviane, Emerson, Jackson, Ayden, Alana, Arora and Jordon.

Numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Darla is preceded in death by her parents Edward and Betty Surratt Armstrong, in-laws Floyd and Quieta Kattner, sister Dena, brother David, nephew Dow, nieces Karen and Shawnee.

A Celebration of Life will be determined at a later date, we will provide information at that time.
