My prayers go to the family and Candace. She was a very special person in my life and in many others. I am heartbroken

I am still at a loss for words. I have a lot of memories from our time together, from little rettes to hanging out by the pool. Thank you for sharing your passion of dance with me. Thank you for inspiring me to become a Copperette! I remember when I was little I would always come see you in the stands and come sit with you and the other copperettes. If I was lucky I got to dance the stand routines with you guys. I love you Candace and again thank you for being a big part of my life ♥️ 

Candace, I met you when we were in second grade. You lived across the street from me and we used to love to jump on your parent’s waterbed. I remember when you decided to start going by your real first name and I just couldn’t stop calling you Megan. I remember when we got our email addresses and how smart you were for having nostalgiagirl as part of your username. Thank you for all the laughs we shared. Your son, mom, and family are in my prayers. Rest easy Beautiful

I am so sorry for your loss. I had the honor of meeting this sweet soul a few years ago. Her heart was huge and smile contagious. I know she will be watching proudly over her little boy. 💕🙏. Peace be with you dear friend.  💕💕💕💕and May God bring peace to your family. 

I prayed with Candace every week while she was staying in the BAMBI unit with Carson. She had such a bright light, and kindness about her. She was never afraid to pray for other people in the unit and she was always so full of hope and encouragement! It was an honor and a privilege to pray for her and her family. Candace was such a kind  friend to the girls in the unit and a amazing a mother! I know that she is now sitting at the feet of Jesus basking in the light of her beloved Lord and Savior! Candace, the victory has been won! The other moms, Kaye and I from the BAMBI unit love you, and we are so grateful for getting to know you! Such a joy and a delight!

I’m so sorry for the loss your family endures without you in their lives. You were a very special soul and a special person in our lives over the years. I will always be thankful for the love of dance you passed on to our girl. From the first Copperettes Lil Rette camp you got her involved in through her own years as a Copperette, you were there to support her. Inspiring her to become a Copperette enriched her life in so many ways, and she has you to thank for that. No doubt she passed that love of dance on, and in that way, and I know in many others, your spirit lives on. 💛💙

Candace was a beautiful soul. She was a fantastic mother to her son Carson.  She will be deeply missed . 

I’m at a loss for words, as I’m sure many people are or will be. I have so many incredible memories from our special time together. There was our beginnings in high school and all of the amazing experiences we shared. Band, Copperettes, Spanish class, a trip to England, parties, trips to Florida, graduation, and becoming adults. We grew apart for a time, and then there was Michigan and Austin, and another chapter of life. There were dogs and cats and fish and many friends. We had such an incredible bond, such a rich and vibrant story. I will miss you, and I am so glad that you are a part of my story and that I was a part of yours. I never got to say this, but I’m proud of you, I loved you sincerely, and you’ll always have a place in my heart. 
To Candace’s family, I wish I had the strength to reach out directly but I don’t, and I’m not sure I ever will. Thank you for being such a great part of my life and for loving me as your own. I loved being a part of your extended family and all of the incredible memories we share.
