He traveled to Hai Phong Bay and then to Hanoi, in North Vietnam. To looking for better life, he traveled to South Vietnam and it was there in Saigon he met his beloved wife DO Thi BINH DAN in 194̀5 and they were married for 81 years. With all the skills and hard work learned throughout his travels, he eventually owned a small shoe factory in Saigon until the fall of South Vietnam in 1975. In 1990, at the age of 70, he and his wife were finally able to reunite with their children after 15 years of separation. The children had all relocated in the DFW Metroplex since 1975. He traveled with family all over the world yet beaches were his favorite place to be. His grandchildren remember he would sit on the beach for hours listening to the waves and he would tell them this was his best memory of Vietnam. Those beach memories were also the way his grandchildren learned of his absolute love of seafood. There was never a time he would turn down a fresh catch of the day. He loved to laugh and take pictures with his family. His family is blessed to have had an additional thirty years of memories with him.
